About The Comics Archive

Get ready for an origin story of epic proportions. Here we will learn how our stalwart heroes came together to form the greatest team in history.

It all started in the year 2009, Jeremy a member of the video game podcast F.U.D.Cast decided that he wanted to share his thoughts on comic books too.  So he sought out other like minded individuals, mined from the very recesses of the internet. While normally a dangerous proposition, Jeremy was already a member of one of the greatest communities on the internet, Colony of Gamers.  Plumbing the forums, he called out to those who might love comics as much as he “Hail fellow geeks and nerds! Are there none among you who will answer my call?”  Three did answer, Sam who was already a member of the venerable Johnny Gigawatt podcast, Michael whose webpage powers are second to none, and Anthony a veteran comic book reader.

Jeremy then laid out his grand scheme, “I wish to do something different, I want to pick out stories and contained arcs and talk about them at length.”  ”We will not talk about the news, or other such sundry things, but we shall dive into the very depths of comic history!”  The others agreed and added many good ideas until they formed what you listen to today.

So all seemed well until Jeremy said, “Wait fellow Archivers! Shall we not have an emblem to rally those to our just cause?”  ”Who will make this crest for us?”  Jeremy thought and recalled that the estimable Eric Trautmann had helped him before with the F.U.D.Cast. Would he do so again? Drawing from the very depths of our comic book past, Eric created our emblem, a veritable beacon in the void of the internet.

The four had a website, logo, and moxy, only time would tell if their mission would be successful.
